Please let Jeff
Hemmer know if you see anything else that should be included on the
website.
DECALS & YARD SIGNS:
Sherri Bare and Kathy Shupe are chairpersons and are currently getting
bids/prices from various vendors. More
information will be forthcoming.
MEIJER PROGRAM:
Cindy Adams updated us on the Meijer Community Rewards program and
stated we can use a debit/credit card, not just a Meijer credit card to get
points for the football program. If you
are a member, you need to re-enroll by the end of May.
SENIORS: Kim
Garner reported the Senior Garage Sale went fairly well and reminded everyone
that the Senior Car Wash will be held on Saturday, June 23rd, in the
J.L. Johnson parking lot on SR 135.
PARENTS CLUB OPENINGS:
Mike Duke reported we are still in need of a Vice-President of
Spirit. This person needs to be very
spirited themselves, and have the ability to keep people motivated and
energetic!! Please see Brad Riley or
Mike Duke if you are interested or know of someone who would be wonderful in
this position!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
June 16 is the 7 on 7 tournament.
The Parents Club will need a lot of help; specifically Cindy Adams needs
help Friday, June 15 to set up, and also a few hours afterwards for clean
up. Everyone needs to sign up and can
expect calls from class reps to enlist help of parents.
Incoming freshman
pad camp is June 4 – June 7. Deposit
needed by May 24th.
IU Camp is June 10
– June 12, $235. Coach needs to know
immediately if you plan on attending, and a check payable to CGFPC is due by
June 1.
COACH MOORE:
Coach has met with
all classes, except current freshman, concerning the upcoming season. He has additional coaching help from former
CG offensive lineman, Tyler Small, who will serve as an assistant coach for the
freshmen team.
The player council
will be announced June 4 (1st week of practice). Coaching staff selected the council based on
a questionnaire players filled out.
The Profile Group
meetings have continued to take place and Coach Moore stated they would
continue over the summer as well. He is
very happy with some of the discussions taking place, especially with the
upperclassmen, and feels this is a very good program that will benefit all
players.
Next meeting date
to be determined.
Meeting adjourned.
Respectfully
submitted,
Ellen Huddleston,
Secretary
