College Player Updatesas of November 25, 2009:The Ball State football team (2-10) lost 35-3 to Central Michigan and then won 22-17 against Western Michigan. Ian McGarvey converted his only field goal try, from 20 yards, against the Chippewas and averaged 66.5 yards on two kickoffs. In the win against the Broncos, he was successful from 31, 45 and 48 yards (tying his career long) without a miss, converted on his only extra point try, and averaged 61.2 yards on six kickoffs. Northwestern senior football player James Nussbaum saw action for the 8-4 bowlbound Wildcats in their 33-31 upset of Wisconsin. as of November 18, 2009:Ian McGarvey was successful on both of his field goal attempts (38 and 30 yards) and both of his extra point tries in Ball State's 26-20 football loss to Northern Illinois.
