Garrett Mack assisted on two tackles, and Joel Cox assisted on one for the Ball State football team (6-6, 4-4) in a 45-28 loss to Toledo.

Jordan Luallen carried the ball eight times for 77 yards, including a 48 yard run, and completed two of three passes for 10 yards in 8-3 Cincinnati’s 30-13 football win against Syracuse.

Brooks Bemis started at right guard for the Franklin football team in its NCAA D-III 41-14 playoff loss to Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Indiana’s Nick Stoner rushed once for four yards in the 1-11 Hoosiers’ 33-25 football loss to Purdue.

Ohio State’s Joel Hale had one solo tackle in the 6-6 Buckeyes’ 40-34 football loss to Michigan.

Mark Riffle saw action for Wabash’s undefeated football team in its second round NCAA D-III 29-28 win against North Central.

Washington of St. Louis football player, Scott O'Brien, a Center Grove graduate, was named to the four team University Athletic Association first team for the second straight year. Other conference members are Carnegie-Mellon, Case-Western Reserve, and The University of Chicago. The sophomore defensive back led his team with three interceptions. He broke up eight passes, fifth best in the conference, and had 38 tackles, fifth best for the Bears.

Brooks Bemis started at right guard for the Franklin football team (10-1) in its 24-21 NCAA D-III first round win against Thomas More.

The Southern Illinois football team defeated Indiana State 35-28. Blake Miller assisted on one tackle for the Salukis, and Justin Wood started at left tackle for the Sycamores.

Indiana's football team lost 55-3 to Michigan State. The Hoosiers' Nick Stoner carried the ball once for six yards, returned four kickoffs 77 yards, and had one solo tackle and one assist.

Joel Hale had one solo tackle for Ohio State’s football team in a 20-14 loss to Penn State.
