Meet Your Coach of the Week

Coach Joe Siderewicz

Coach Siderewicz is married to his wonderful wife Lisa and they have two children:  Joey (age 12) and Lacey (age 11).

Coach Siderewicz graduated from Martinsville High School in 1982.  He played wide receiver and had a little time at quarterback while at Martinsville.  He was named 1st team all-state as receiver his senior year.  Coach Siderewicz then went on to Indiana University where he graduated with a degree in Social Studies Education. 

Coach is a U.S. History teacher at Martinsville West Middle School.  Coach Siderewicz has been the Quarterback and Receivers coach at Center Grove High School for 3 years.

Fun Facts:

Favorite football memory from your playing days?
Playing for my dad in high school and going 10-0 my junior and senior year.

Favorite Movie?
Gladiator 

Favorite Music Group or Song?
My favorite group is the Beatles and my favorite song is “Hey Jude”.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy going to my kids activities and spending time with my wife.  I also enjoy talking football with Coach Moore, watching a lot of football on TV, playing golf and going to other Center Grove athletic events in the off-season. 

What is something most people may not know about you?
I have quite a few things that you may not know about me.

While coaching at Martinsville High School I was named the 2001 Coach of the Year in Conference Indiana. 

I did my student teaching at Center Grove High School in 1986. 

I went to college with Coach Moore. 

I now live in the Center Grove area and really love the community and all the new people I’ve met over the past 3 years!
